How does caller ID work?

Number Locator

Once you enter the number, you will see a map of the country or region where the person is located. The type of line and the telephone service provider will also appear. The results may vary, since the contact’s own settings for not being tracked also have an influence.

Here you can see your contact list , along with the country to which their number codes belong. The result itself is not very precise, since it does not specify which city a phone number is from, but rather gives you a general idea.
Call log
This section accesses your phone’s call log, which lists all the numbers you have called or that have called you. As in the previous case, it provides you with the country, but not the city. Likewise, it helps you know where they are calling you from and prevent any international scams.
Routes
If you have the Google Maps app installed , you can access it using this route identifier. It can be used to find out how far the caller is from your location. This way, you can determine if the address they are giving you to go to make a transaction is the correct one.
List of blocked calls
If you receive an extortion call seeking money from you, this section will help you block the number in an instant. Just click on the “Add phone number” button, enter the name and contact in the corresponding boxes and select “Add”.
You can also do this with any unknown or suspicious number to prevent further calls. The app will detect if that person tries to contact you again and immediately blacklist them.
My location

In itself, Caller ID is easy to use and, to a certain extent, does what it promises. Although it doesn’t determine your exact location, it still helps you get a better idea of where and who you’re talking to.
